CAD Drawing

We draw all the pieces in Catia: the shock-absorber, the two rods, the uniballs and a schematization of the bearings. We assembled them all and then we used the swing arm 3d model made by the other group to do the renderings and the videos.
We tried two different designs for the rod, one straight with a pivot connecting it to the push rod and one made just in one piece; we chose the second configuration because it gave better result in the FEM analysis.
Unfortunately for the videos we had to hide the spring because Catia can’t simulate the motion of deformable corpses so the spring didn’t compress as the shock-absorber.
We tried to create an alternative spring made of cylinders created on an half-circle spline connected to each other but we didn't get any significant result.
